Amy Turner

1 production · 1 theatre

Amy has been involved with Music and Musical Theatre in some shape or form all of her life. She grew up singing in choirs, taking piano lessons and performing on stages all across California. Before getting married and raising a family, she performed in The Music Man, West Side Story and Hello Dolly. Once her kids got older she returned to the stage in favorites such as 9 to 5, The Wedding Singer, The Addams Family, Annie, Mamma Mia, and Freaky Friday. Even though she loves being on the stage, Amy seems to enjoy the "behind the scene" action even more. She has been an Instructor and Director of the JR's Academy at Showstoppers Productions (now Hopebox Academy) since 2011. Since the start of the Hopebox in 2014 she has taken on many additional roles such as Stage Manager, Producer, Office Manager, House Manager, Operations Manager, Assistant Director and Director at numerous theaters across Davis County. Her greatest joy has been performing with her own kids and watching them grow up along side her in the theater world. She hopes to one day work at Disneyland as the Fairy Godmother. She has been with the Hopebox since its inception. Once you feel the power of the Hopebox mission you won't ever want to leave.
